This year, Key Resources CTO Ray Overby and President Cynthia Overby will be presenting during three different sessions. Here’s a preview of what they’ll be talking about.

1. Security Opening – Five Keys to Mainframe Security Processes in a Hybrid IT Environment

After the opening keynote, kick things off on Monday, February 24 at 9:45 a.m. with a session about mainframe to cloud integration strategy. Alongside Chris Perry, Lead Product Manager, BMC Software, Key Resources CTO Ray Overby will dive into what it takes to re-engineer security and compliance processes in a hybrid IT world, from the importance of mainframe security architects and excessive access checking, to how to enable threat and detection response. This session will take place in room 106 Arena.

2. PSP: Intelligence-Driven Threat Hunting on the Mainframe

Threat hunting is becoming a hot topic in the security world, but there’s still a lot of confusion about what exactly it is, how it’s performed, and the benefits it provides. On Tuesday, February 25 at 1:45 p.m., Ray will clear up that confusion, giving a Partner Sponsored Presentation about what threat hunting is and how KRI can help.

3. Ethics and Technology. Who is Responsible?

IT professionals often hold “escalated privileges,” giving them great power and responsibility to impact both the workplace and even society. How can they realistically apply principles of ethical conduct as they carry out their duties? Where do ethics fit in as IT professionals build their career, while simultaneously trying to maintain a good reputation?

Key Resources President Cynthia Overby will explore these topics in her session on Wednesday, February 26 at 3:30 p.m., in room 203A. This session about ethics and technology will cover ethical questions around privacy, accuracy and security, reflecting on who’s ultimately responsible.
